A problem of growing orchids that most growers have is rot. It’s a big problem because if we fix it too late, the orchid absolutely die.
Today, I want to share the suggestion to sove this problem. It’s easy and fast.
In the picture, you can see the rotten bulb of cattleya orchid. If we don’t fix this problem, the disease will spread to other bulbs and all bulbs will be die.
The best way to safe your orchid in this case is hurry to cut the infected part off to prevent the other bulbs infect the disease.
Then seal the cuts with melted candle wax or cinnamon powder to prevent bacterial infection. (In Thailand we usually use “Poon Daeng”. Its properties is good like melted candle wax or cinnamon powder)
You can prevent this problem by keep your orchid in the place that have good air flow and don’t watering too much because it can make your orchid tot and die.
